Graffiti Removal

Removing graffiti from the railroad tunnels and snowsheds is an ongoing project; but it only addresses tagging that can be seen from a distance.  Some interior graffiti arguably has artistic value — and it draws visitors.  A couple dozen volunteers typically contribute a morning once each year to this effort, gathering at The Hub at 8:30 AM and heading out with paint, rollers, scrub brushes, and/or solvent.  Graffiti Day in 2025 is August 7.  More activities will be scheduled as the need requires and time and weather allow.
